Jurassic Park's Richard Attenborough Isn't Well, Won't Be Seen On Film Again
I just want him to say "Welcome to Jurassic Park" one more time.
88? we should all be so lucky.
Best wishes to him & family.
May he live out the remainder of his life in comfort and peace.
A terrible shame. I hope the same doesn't go for his brother David.
Aww that terrible. I liked him in Jurrassic Park. I'm guessing he won't be in JP4 then?
Quick, somebody clone him!
Well he did have a successful and acclaimed career long before Jurassic Park. At any rate, even though he's presumably in his final years, no one can say he didn't live a full and rich life.
My best wishes to his health. I hope he'll be okay. If not, then I feel kinda sad and wishing him a good and quiet passing to the afterlife.
Welcome to Retirement Park...
aw man. poor guy, best wishes.
Well at least his career didn't fall long and hard like some other people (Donald Pleasance comes to mind).
That's too bad. I guess we won't be seeing him in JP4.
To be honest I thought he'd died already.
Still, I have enjoyed the stuff he's done so there's a nice legacy left behind while he gets a long-deserved rest.
I thought in JP3, there was a worded aside by Alan Grant that John Hammond had died.
Hammond was never mentioned as dead
When I saw the beginning of the title, my heart stopped as I feared the worst. I hope that he lives out the rest of his life peacefully, i'm not much of a Jurassic park fan, but he did direct Ghandi, which is one of my favourite films
Good God I was afraid he was dead.
Well, in The Lost World if you remember, he was chained to a bed on some medical doo-hickeys, and was going on about his legacy. And I think there was an alternate ending that was cut where Malcolm speaks at John Hammond's funeral. Since several years pass between The Lost World and III, it's likely Hammond already died. I really am surprised the poor old man didn't die already, poor Richard Attenborough.
Even if he's not dead yet, there's no one on Earth who will ever be able to welcome us to Jurassic Park like he did.
