I think we just need to realize that Transformers is a boys toy line, and boys generally don't like playing with girl figures, much like girls prefer Barbie over Ken. They may one one or two Kens, but they're prefer ten Barbies to him. Same with boys, they want Bumblebee and Prime, not Solus and Arcee.

    It's not sexist, it's not anti-women, it's just business.....

I think Hasbro said at Comic Con (or BotCon, whatever) that each of the 13 represents a different aspect of the Cybertronian race, hence why there is only 1 female (they represent a 13th of the population).

I suppose the same would go for the triple changers, leaders, scouts, soldiers, ect.

Only if Solus is voiced by Katy Perry then yes.

    :D

But seriously Solus Prime sounds like a badass like Arcee is here.

Spunky, I have yet to see you make a single post that legitimately helps your case.

Unless assisting a force of 12 other demi-gods in trapping an ultimate evil and shooting him into the coldest reaches of space counts, no.

Judging by the way she's swinging that hammer, if anyone accused her of that, they'd end up getting WTFBBQPwned Thor-style.

One thing that this picture of Solus has shown us is that by being influenced by a blacksmith goddess: she knows weaponry, both in theory and seemingly in practice.

I'd just like to point out that not only is Solus taking part in the battle against Unicron, she's leading the charge!!! Prima may be the leader of the group but she seems to be making it a point to be the first one to get at the God of Chaos. Tell me that is not badass! Just try telling me!

That is not badass. She was probably being forced by the male chauvinist pigs in an attempt to secure male hierarchy by getting the woman leader out of the picture. Disgusting misogynists.

I know you're kidding but why do I get the feeling someone, somewhere will draw this conclusion?

She probably already has, likely with a screen name that starts with "s".

For all we know Solus could be the leader. If they are a team that is.

I thought Prima was the leader given his wielding of the Star Saber.

Still it's likely she made that so she'd be very important in Cybertronian mythology.

Honestly, it's likely that they're ALL very important.

Besides, we wouldn't want to single out the female, would we? Putting her in charge/leader position means inequality.

I don't really get why you're being so obtuse about this. What's wrong with having more female characters in a cast? It helps make things more diverse and interesting.

I know you're not responding to me but I'll respond to this.

I'm not arguing that. Also how does more females make things more diverse? Personalities should be focused on more than gender.

Finally there would be nothing wrong if this were not a show for a boy's toyline. I know I keep repeating that but it's literally the reason. You can think it's a stupid one but there you go, you have a reason for why they do this.

Now you and everybody else. Buy Arcee, Airachnid, and Solus Prime like crazy and make Hasbro realize they're wrong!

I agree with Kostya, characters and personalities make things more diverse, not sex or gender. I'm down for more female characters if done right, but not for the sake of having more females.

It's like you believe that only men dislike extremist or "in-your-face" feminism. Believe me, the media doesn't need to do a lot of work to "demonize" feminism: extremist supporters and misguided, well-intended youth do that plenty.

    EDIT:
I am honestly interested in reading these, looking Wikipedia, do you just recommend "When the Bough Breaks" and "The War Against Parents", or add "Creating a Life" as well?
