I know as I have read there are plenty of complaints. There is one suggestion I can offer that I have not seen yet. Perhaps it is implementable perhaps not. Perhaps it already has been but not seen yet due to the changes. If there was a last page jump like in the normal threads. I know for me it would alleviate some of my frustration with the change over.
