well, I got him the other day, and inspiration hit me last night. half an hour later, here's the result:

I took the faceplate out of a bt alert head that I had lying around. a little cutting here, some superglue there, and skin from my thumb over there, and now cliffjumper can show his face to the world!

Holy shit!!! It works perfectly, I was actually trying to figure out how to make his face into a frown by studying BB's head (I don't have Cliffy yet)

Now I'm going to have to start looking around for a junker Subaru mold.

Hmmmm... I wonder if the head from the Acura mold would work.

What a great idea! I may have to do that as well.

That's actually really appropriate, as well, because (like many other people) I slapped a BT Alert head on a Zoom-Zoom body to make a BT Cliffjumper... so I already kinda think of that face as Cliffjumper! Sweet!

I'm glad you guys liked it. I actually got out of bed because I was thinking so much about it. I went into the kitchen to just compare the alert head and the cj one, not planning on doing any cutting. then I just took the face plate from the alert head and placed it on the back piece of the cj head, and realized it was the perfect size. I was thinking I was going to have to craft the whole rest of the head around the plate, because I didn't think I'd be able to cut the front part of cj's head in such a way as to be able to glue the pieces back on. but I gave it a whirl (thank you dremel) and shocked myself that it actually worked.

    no other comments? *sniff*

This looks really nice man! It certain seperates CJ from BB! I like that it looks subtle, but in actuality you did a lot of work! Nice and clean . . . the way good work is! :thumb

    WOW!!!

All I did between my CJ and BB was swap the eyes out to give CJ a bit more of a darker look.

man, don't take the horns off!! if you just look at the original, that's one of cliffjumper's distinguishing characteristics.

OH MY GOD, that's such a deceptively simple idea that it passes the realm of coincidentially neat and enters the verdant fields of downright awesome.
