Abrams, Nolan, Favreau? Maybe even Spielberg take over for his apprentice?
Reboot? What are you talking about?
Judd Apatow or Clint Eastwood.
stupid idea. the movie just came out 2 years ago and already have two films made. and you want a reboot this early? after the movie make lots of cash? never!
bay is the only one i honestly trust now i think abrams could make it darker though
I don't think it really needs a reboot. Although, I read on G4 that Bay wanted to take a break from Transformers for a while. Are you saying if he doesn't decide to do the 3rd movie, who should direct it?
Tf's doesn't need a reboot because we'd run the risk of having a live action animated garbage fest, aimed at 4 year olds. (I'm glad I'm online because most of you would probably throw stuff at me for that comment, but sorry, I thought animated was worse than Armada and Energon combined) GI Joe... Now THERE'S a franchise that desperately needs a reboot. But that's a differant can of worms and a differant website, so I'll just leave it alone.
Reboot? Are you freaking kidding me? Why would you reboot a series this successfull? That is like asking for someone else to film the next Batman movie after Dark Knight.
YOU may not be a fan of this series, but the 2,000 people at the theaters in my town last night LOVED ROTF. We could hear the clapping and cheering from the next room for the movie that started 10 minutes before ours.
Deal with it.
it doesnt need a reboot, it needs new writers, ones willing to write a transformers story instead of a fucking love story...the writers are only writing these movies because of the pay check, they dont have any experience in writing sci-fi - or at least not enough
You sure they were watching the same movie?
Frankly, I should. I would bring to the table what most of you are wanting, and I will take fan input into serious consideration.
how many threads like this have we had in the last three years?
ROTF has just came out only a few hours ago, and you're already talking of a reboot?
There is not going to be a reboot for the movie franchise. TF1 was a roaring success, and ROTF looks like it will do just as good, if not exponentialy better, as it's predacessor did, starting the movie series over at this point in time, especialy since ROTF technicaly came out today, would be possibly the biggest financial screw-up in Hasbro's history.
My advice: deal with it. Go watch whatever series you think the movies should have been based more off of, and do it offten I guess, as ROTF has come to power and there's no sign of abdication anytime within the next 18 months in all likeyhood.
No reboot needed or anywhere on the horizon. Why would they trash something that's making this much money. Also, I don't think we're getting another movie franchise after this one has run its course for a looong time. Hasbro and Paramount would be silly to follow this up with something that would confuse all those people who don't care about TFs in general but got into the movies (at least in the forseeable future).
Let's just wait until after Transformers 3, when a few years have passed so we can think about the possibility of other live action movies...
There were only 5 theaters running at that time of night and they were ALL showing ROTF.
what? a reboot? already? oh my what has TF fanism become
Bad idea, if there is one thing people should learn in life it is that giving people what they think they want NEVER works out. TF: TM and ROTF is what you have, you can like it or you can hate it, but it is all your getting. A third movie will only delve deeper into mythology that has been established by the first two.
A reboot would only do more harm than good. Let's learn from example.
Alien- Awesome film
Predator- Awesome film
Predator 2- not bad
AvP- TOTAL SUCKAGE
AvP:R- re-booted fan wank to the extreme. They put nearly everything in that the fans wanted, and it was in the theaters a whole three days and twelve minutes.
Yeah I'm still not convinced that they were watching the same movie if they were clapping and cheering.
Separate names with a comma.
