Yknow for something that was marketed as a crossover, there is very little to none other than the Dark Spark is constantly banished to other continuites.

Could have been all about the "Cybertron" continuity and ditched all the "Bay-verse" and it would have been better with the little amount of crossover in this story.

At least the gameplay is still good.

I expected more Movieverse characters would be in this.

Like Hound, Crosshairs and the Dinobots.

Wait so there is little movieverse in this? That is awesome if true. I held off on buying it because of the lame movie tie-in.

I honestly think the idea behind this game missed A LOT of opportunities. Honestly, how many of us here would have played a game where the G1 characters meet their bayverse counterparts? Or an all out multiplayer battle of G1 vs Bayverse characters?

Majority of the game is "Cybertron" with only a minor amount of "Bay-verse" levels tacked on at the begining and end of the game.

    Yep.

Remember the early trailer for the game?

"When two worlds collide, only one will survive"

    :lol

The story in this game feels like some sort of salvaged DLC for FOC, then they bolted on a half assed movieverse part with minimum new characters and effort put in.

If you enjoyed the gameplay from WFC and FOC you'll have fun. Just don't expect much from the Story when it's set in "Bay-verse"

I was expecting a larger presence from the movies, given this is supposedly more meant to tie into AOE.

Yeah, the gameplay is solid if you enjoyed FOC, but it's not going to blow your mind.

And there's no crossover. Also, I made the mistake of getting both the 3DS version AND the PC version. The plots are identical save for skimming of some of the details. Also there's a lot of Earth-based missions in the 3DS version of the game, INCLUDING Tyran Ratchet.

This could indicate that he doesn't die in AoE?

Also, the game seems to take place between WFC/FOC on the Cybertron side, and post-AoE on the Tyran side. But yeah, basically the Dark Spark is stuck in a loop where it gets flung from one continuity to the next.

I'll probably do a review of the 3DS version at some point.

Though his personality seems more aggressive and battle loving than I remember G1 Hound.

Gotten pretty far in the 3DS version, and really it's a Cybertron game with some Movieverse levels tacked on. And sadly it seems like no Grimlock in the 3DS version:(  They really should have taken him off the cover.
