So what's to look forward for those that do not like the film anyway?

Well since it's obvious that this fim especially if it tanks it will probably mark the end of the franchise as a whole what else is there to look forward too?

If the film tanks, the fanchise will survive. Look at Super Mario Bros. Although, the film tanking will probably kick the franchise back into a much more G1-centric place for awhile...if the non-G1ness is, in fact, determined to be the reason for the tanking.

If the film's a success, you can look forward to building your G1 collection since you won't be spending any money on new toys.

    It's win/win for you!

I think end of the Franchise is a bit overblown. Chances are it will not tank, but if it does I think we'll see after a couple of year a more faithful version in CGI ala TMNT.

I'm gonna enjoy the movie for it is, and not let my dislike of the pretty much everything hind my movie going experience.

If the movie 'tanks' then we might not see another live action movie, and that's it. The next Transformers series is *already* being worked on, right now. And when that starts getting closer to being ready to air, which will be shortly after the movie comes out, then Hasbro will start work on the *next* big Transformers thing. And so forth and so on. This movie can only have a positive affect on the fandom because if it does bad it will be forgotten and hasbro will just move on.

That is my biggest fear! That once as I suspect this movie tanks or simply does not do as expected given it's budget. The franchise will be relegated to cheap Jap Animation and comics for all time...

A sadder destiny cannot be written and it seems to be written in stone already!:cry

    Melo-dramatic much?:peoples:

Besides that later on this year will be Transformers Heroes or whatever the new show will be called. This movie is just ONE aspect of Transformers to reach a new market. But Hasbro still hasn't forgotten the kids, and kids like cartoons to advertise the toys

Considering how you said in the following thread VERBATIM

    http://www.tfw2005.com/boards/showpost.php?p=1203794&postcount=13

You're really not in a place to comment on how someone's post comes across...And yes the post you replied to was an unneeded slam, but so was your's in the previous thread too

Not really no, see in the other thread my comment was not a slam against anyone. Optimus Prime and sheeple are my two favorite things about the designs. I'm not telling people they are stupid for liking the designs esp. not anyone here. The Sheeple phenom is real for John Q public.

But thanks for pointing all that MR. PC Police. :thumb  j/k of course no need to take this seriously.

i suppose that since i won't be buying many transformers toys for quite a while, it will give me time and money to track down some of my most sought-after collectibles.

I know I'm looking forward to no more threads where Doomsayers scream the sky is falling.

Either the sky will stay firmly in place, and there won't be a need for worry, or the sky will have fallen, and we'll all be aware of it, and upset about it together.

Lookin' forward to either situation, really.

3rd graders seem to be the target audience for these robot designs.

If you're going to critiqué something at least think about it first and come up with a more original and insightful line than that...

Er... You're suggesting the film will "probably" kill the franchise even if it's a success?

Do I need to point out the irony in this statement, or is it as apparent to everyone else as it is me?
