I see a bunch of people envying people who have him and I checked BBTS and he's sold out. What's the deal this figure? Anything good?

Hasbro made the toy on Chevrolet's request. The specifics of the deal mean Hasbro themselves can't sell Aveo Swerve - it's only available through Chevrolet.

grain of salt taken, i have one, to be honest, as far as figures go it is really nice, but as far as articulation, it is extremely lacking, no arm pivots, no knee pivots, but very nice nonetheless, pic with g1 grims guns

In every field of collecting, there are "You can't have this!" items. However there are some people who, through the application of lots of money, resourcefulness, luck, or any combination of the three, are able to get what they can't have. :)

I've owned mine for about a year now & his awesomeness keeps making me want to take him out and fiddle with him over & over again... :D

Hell, how many other figures of his size can do the following with no additional support at all?

You don't own him yet? What are you waiting for?! :lol

It's a really good figure as well.

The lack of any weapon however is a bit of a diss' but I've seen loads of pics on here where people have included other weapons that fit his hands.

Apart for the promotions it was also avaliable on the European Chevy website for a very short while.
