We already have Triple-changers.   Drift is one. Even though it's a blink and you'll miss scene, there is a scene there Drift transforms from Bugatti to robot to helicopter then they are storming KSI.  

But more would of course be good.

Really? I never saw that, and I've watched it almost ten times.
Well I'll if that's the case I'd like a lot more than that next time around.

 

Like I said, it's a blink and you'll miss. Bumblebee crashes through the glass at the same time and thus makes it hard to see what Drift does. But somewhere in the screencap thread there is screenshots of Drift showing off his triple-changing abilities in that very scene.

Drift was definitely supposed to be a triple changer, but I'm sure you never see that Bugatti shift. If you follow the onscreen narrative Drift is just a flyer, and sometimes an unidentified Bugatti, the same colour as drift, joins in the Autobot convoy.

Anyway when people say that they want triple changers I think they mean the classic triple changer characters, specifically Springer and Blitzwing more often than not!

 

I mean, what's left? Unicron, I assume, would be left for the last film. Maybe a giant Quintesson coming out of the sea or something?

 

We do see him shift from Bugatti to robot in that one scene before he shifts to Helicopter, the focus just isn't on him as it's rather on Bumblebee crashing through that window. I don't have the screenshots from that scene, but it's there.

I'll have to take your word for it. I'll have a closer look next time I watch AOE, but if you do get a screenshot I'll be interested to see it!

 

I think a city sized Transformer would be acceptable before Unicron.

 

they could do metroplex like the G1 insecticons were done.....make new box art and labeling marketing it as part of the movie line for TF5 and make him a TRU exclusive.

change some paint apps to make him look more earth city-ish and call it a day.

 

Probably the return of "Barf-balls-icon". I don't think he died in RotF. So I'll assume he's still alive causing mayhem on Earth.

Maybe Matthew Marsden will be back too. He was in RotF, but he might be more known as "School Boy" in the 2008 Rambo movie. He'll get his own team, and will be against Cemetary Wind or the equivalency.

 

You really think the Dinobots will be back in part 5? You've really not been paying attention to these films. They've come and gone, served their purpose (as far as the filmmakers are concerned) and I bet a paycheck that their screen time is done.

 

1)The Driller and Devastator were both killed in the movies they appeared in.

2)One of the producers specifically said they wanted to see more of the Dinobots in TF 5.

3)In a conference during the summer in Germany, when asked about the future of the franchise Bay specifically mentioned the Dinobots, Lockdown's ship, the Creator hand, and Optimus' journey as things that could be explored further.

I'm pretty sure the Dinobots will not just permanently disappear, whatever one may think of them or how some characters have been treated in prior Bay Transformers films.

But at least they'll be on-screen.

 

I hope they actually plan to use them for TF5. I'd hate it if that's all they do with the Dinobots?
