I think the movie will prove what is canon or not. At most the app is canon to other universes, as it has too much contradictions to be canon to the movieverse. Unless a retcon/reboot happens that edits past movieverse history.
Like others have said; According to the app, ROTF and DOTM did not happen, but we already see the Ark in TLK footage. So the app is like the movie-comics, another universe.

The app is not canon hasbro should stay out of messing with the movie series

It's non-canon because it outright condradicts the movies.

Thirtheen history is incompatible with what was shown in the movie. For example, Megatronus gets the name of Fallen from an entirely different reason in the app timeline.

Most of the timeline is ripped straight off of Covenant of Primus, an Aligned book.

What's with both Autobots and Decepticons being stranded on Earth millions of years ago? Most of the TFs we see in the movies weren't even born yet.

For them to retcon stuff like this'll mean the entire trilogy is non-canon with only some tiny tiny details of them being true.

Do you know what taking something with a grain of salt means? You and others keep yelling "It's not canon! It's not canon I tell you!"

Yet every time I explain that I don't see why it wouldn't, yet I will take the timeline with a grain of salt. That means I acknowledge the possibility of the timeline having wrong information. Why do you think I keep saying I'm waiting for the movie to explain it better?

Getting more back on topic, I might would like to see the seven Primes kind of get retconned. Design wise, it was kind of disappointing that they all look like the Fallen. It's kind of why I like the direction they've taken with the knights; each of them have a unique designs from each other. (Not counting Infernacus who I'm not even sure is a Combiner.)

The app is canon, but the timeline seems to be a mix between different Transformers shows. So some parts are probably 100% true, as the story of the Knights, but the Prime thing is however not. In ROTF they said there was 7 original Primes. Not 13. That's what people should be going with as the movies are 100% canon and true.

Could the 5 missing primes still be out there In the movie verse? Of course they can and probably are, from what i can remember we only have jetfire and his unreliability as a reference to 7 primes?!maybe there was more to the
story but he forgot to mention it.

That's 12..... the 13th is yet to emerge or prove himself worthy of being regarded as a true prime.

Mark Whalberg said "them" when referring who's down in the ocean. A few primes may be in the bottom of the sea

That could be a possibility, however I'm thinking that he's talking about the knights who emerge and kick Optimus's ass

Yeah that's the original twelve and it works alongside this new mythology too as there's no 13th one

That makes sense to me too but..

In the IMAX event it was shown that a knight was inside a drone ship near where canopy was killed. Maybe he's the 13th?

According to the app though, (Grain of Salt) the Thirteenth Prime is a prophesized warrior king that will unite the universe under his rule by wielding the Matrix of Leadership and lead Cybertron into a new Golden Age. You know I never considered the possibility that the Thirteenth Prime hadn't arisen yet, hence why there's a prophecy surrounding him.

Now would the 13th be same thing as "The Last Knight?"

Possibly, there is a chance the title is a double meaning to refer to both Optimus and Cade.
