So about that season 3 DVD of that show that came out 2 years ago...
Unless Cartoon Network lets go of their rights to the show, most likely never. Considering CN is too full of themselves, they'll keep it as long as they can.
Hasbro sayed that there are no plans for release season 3
So... um, yeah...be like the rest of us and weep.
Pray harder for the day we can get them on DVD, hopfully before we all lose our teeth due to old age.
Better off waiting for a US RID on DVD release. Agree with the most likely never.
Didn't you here that Saban bought back all their shows from Disney.
There is still hope, as for Animated it'll be a long time till that happens.
Pretty sure Derrick J Wyatt has said that Hasbro owns it outright (which is supported by hasbro saying they have no plans to release it, instead of saying they can't). So we need to get on Hasbro and companies like Shout Factory about it.
Hmmmm....Hasbro, until you release it - I'm silently judging you.
This may become Operation: Rainfall all over again.
Yep, here it is: Twitter
This is why more people need to ask at conventions.
All People ask will this charecter be in this show and can you make this charecter in the classics line.
They just release the damn thing, NOW!!!!
Seriously. Armada, Energon AND Cybertron all got full DVD sets. Animated deserves the same.
Vague, uninformative thread title is both vague and uninformative.
Anyway, assuming that Hasbro does own the show free and clear, I could see Shout Factory releasing it at some point. I normally would think it's unlikely that a show which has been off the air for several years would be something anyone would bother releasing, but Shout have been putting out a fair number of older and obscure shows lately.
Nothing wrong with doing that, if only as a change from "when is [character] getting a Classics figure", but has an increase in people asking about something at conventions ever been shown to have any effect on Hasbro releasing it?
It may be a somewhat older show, but it's also an older show that's season 1 and 2 DVD releases sold out almost immediately after release, and now are in extremely high demand.
Seems like that would be attractive to any company.
If I was Hasbro, I would release it. Good money would be going their way. They got my money if I like season 1 and 2. I'll buy even it if they aren't great
Was just gonna say this. And they'll likely do what they did with Beast Wars - just release the whole series as a 3-4 DVD set rather than split it up into seasons.
If it's Shout, I can see them doing a full set with lots of extras, and a bare bones season 3 set for those who got the first two seasons and only want to buy the third season to finish the set. They're cool like that.
I'll buy whichever option is offered though, I love series 3.
