People aren't reading the memo or something. I was in several stores today, one TRU and Target in particular I remember had yanked ALL the Cars cars. Another Target and a WM had the display still up, but presumably just pulled Sarge, if there were even any in there. He's not one of the more common ones.
I had the Rorona Zolo figure that was recalled, but sold it in a lot. Lead paint was the last thing I'd be worried about with that figure, the One Piece and Naruto line are/were complete garbage. I grew up in a 50 year old house and played in parks covered in lead paint.
I see, I see thanks for the reply because we never know if the Japanese toy companies such as Bandai and TakaraTomy conduct lead paint tests on their products such as the US toy companies.
I have not bought any Mattel products since MOTU ended. I plan on picking up a few DC figures but I haven't yet.
My daughter had a bunch of beat-up, incomplete Polly Pocket playsets she bought for pennies at a yard sale. We brought them back to TRU during lunch hour today and got $60 store credit. She picked up a couple of new Polly Pockets with the store credit. Needless to say she was ecstatic, it was great to see
Man, I was skimming the list and I thought I saw an item labeled "Polly Pocket Ringworld something-or-other." They'd have to bring them over from China one at a time!
Damn, I have a MOC sarge I don't really want to open (My Cars collection is MOC coz the cards are so nice). Anyway to tell?
But yeah, lead paint will contaminate whoever touches it, direct contact with the mouth isn't necessary. Lead compounds are generally not absorbed significantly through the skin. Of course, if the hands come in contact with the mouth, contamination can occur. Inhalation is another concern.
That is where my Sarge is also. Since I don't plan to open him, I don't think the lead will be an issue ( if he even has any ).
