Serious? So how are you going to return them? I'm just curious.

I'm not affected unless...Bandai or Hasbro or Takara screwed up! XD

Anybody else find it hilariously ironic that of all the Cars characters, Sarge gets the lead treatment? :D

I don't get the whole magnets thing? aren't the parents able to raise their own children nowadays, or tell which toys are suitable? If a child has a habit to put things in his/her mouth, don't buy them toys with small parts! It's not that hard, the packages have clear signs saying "Contains small parts! for gods sake. Parents are idiots...

Actually, now that I look at the recall list, my daughter does have the Barbie & Tanner playset, but she's old enough to know not to put magnets in her mouth. She never plays with it, maybe I can find the pieces and take it back.

I hear ya, but it's sometimes hard when there are more than 2 kids...the older one might have toys with smaller parts. Still it's parents' responsibility to make sure no small parts are loose or fragile, though. I am not trying to make an excuse for "idiot" parents :)

On topic, Sarge?! Glad we didn't pick him up.

Well, I can see what they're getting at, the magnets can come loose. And because these are Neodynium magnets, they're very powerful for the size, and if a kid eats more than 2, they could attract each other in the bowels and create an immovable obstruction.

    Death by magnet.

I read somewhere that it's only Sarge Cars produced between like May and July of this year or somesuch. So in my case at least, the one I bought for my niece last Xmas is supposedly lead-free. That was the only thing that caught my eye. EVERYthing else I buy is Hasbro.

Yeah the obstruction thing made sence to me. I can clearly imaine what two magnets could do to a persons intestine! What I didn't get is why a kid the age those toys are intended for would put one, less two magnets in their mouths if they'd happen to come loose.

The lead will come off during the night as a thick black ooze that will make your daughter climb walls and go crazy. ;)

But yeah, lead paint will contaminate whoever touches it, direct contact with the mouth isn't necessary.
