A week ago Amazon listed the DOTM score as being released on June 28, six days from today. Presently there is no cover art or track listing for the CD, and the release date is no longer visible on Amazon. Here's the Amazon link.

What's going on?

 

Well, like you said, there's only six days left. Patience. I know, I'm about to die from anticipation as well, but we just have to be patient and wait for next week.

 

Those that pre-ordered the cd will still get their cds. Those that want to download it as an MP3 will have to wait til the 28th and the track list will probably not be up til the 28th. the reason its not showing any info as of right now is because all of Amazon's cd's for the initial pre-order have been claimed and so the first wave of cds from Amazon are sold out.

 

I'm more than a little doubtful that we'll get it in six days. Captain America, which isn't due out for a month has a score listing with cover art and track listings. It sure looks like the DOTM score has been postponed until a later date.

It should come out, ROTF's score came out a month before the movie, I really hope it comes out because I have to drive and hour and a half upstate to West Nyack IMAX to see it next week, I want to listen to the score all the way up

 

in the UK HMV.co.uk had it up for pre order for £8.99, it's now showing as DELETED!!!

I'm mostly concerned because other high profile movies that will be coming out weeks after DOTM have their scores available on sites like Amazon and Walmart.com, upon which there is cover art and track listings. As for DOTM, I can't find the score on Walmart.com, and Amazon's page can be best described as bare or "temporary." That and everybody keeps giving the thing different release dates.

 

Do you guys think Nelson might know something about it?

 

Maybe they re-scored some of the tracks that they did not like? This seems very odd.

 

Nelson would say its coming out January 33 2007 and everyone would believe him.

Er...no. He's just some guy who's in contact with Bay and gets snipets of information or misinformation.

 

The suspense is killing me. Orchestra is the main music I listen to and Steve Jablonsky is a master.

I really wanted to have it before the movie to get pumped for it! *Fingers crossed*

I just checked my Amazon order for the Score and it still has it to be delivered on the 28th. As for Amazon, I called about it and the woman I talked to said those that pre-ordered it will indeed get their copy but as far as after that, they dont know if they will be selling more copies... at least not for a while.

 

Different movie, different legalities, different everything... Cap America (or any other release) is no basis for when this score should be released. It's really not that simple...

 

Considering how I pre-ordered it the day it went up on Amazon I hope I get it as soon as it's released. I love the scores for the first two movies and have been looking forward to this since DotM was announced.

 

It's still not listed on iTunes.  

 

Sure there are differences, but you have to admit that there's something fishy going on when there's a product due to be released in less than a week that has no cover art and has been deleted from various store listings. Record labels don't do that, unless they're some underground indie label.

Who knows, maybe the CDs will start showing up in a week, and the whole screw up will boil down to some dope in Amazon's listings dept, but this is starting to feel a whole lot like what happened with the first TF score. I got told about half a dozen release dates, starting in July, and ultimately wasn't able to get the CD until October.
