IMO this is THE dumbest movie design toy yet... sucks more than that Starsceam, more than 74 BB. I havent seen any ranting on this figure like I did when Swindle released (I know Dreadwing has barely released but we've seen pics on the net for at least a week or 2.)...

With Swindle, people voiced their dislike of his head and legs and arm configuration/functionality/asthetics...

Well, to me Dreadwing has those same exact problems only to a higher degree. His head is a scope/lens thing that people hated in Swindle but is way more horrible than Swindle... Those suck-ass leg too... And oversized arms??? This guy looks like a weak wind will blow him down...

Im I the only one who feels Swindle didnt deserve the flak and dreadwing does.???

I love Swindle. I love Dreadwing. I like robots that are different.

PS : '77 BB and Starscream are good designs btw.

THough not high on my list to buy, I do like Dreadwing. Swindle was good too, his arms were weird too.

I'm with Megatroptimus on this one, I'm tired of the same old robot designs and love this new stuff. I also agree BB and SS are fantastic and I'm sure others will agree too. BB's actualy my Favorite TF.

I like them both, their faces kinda got that G1 shockwave feel to them, like creepy indifference, no emotion.

Me, I love Swindle, especially with that lil neck mod. He's an awesome lil guy to add to the collection. But not so much Dreadwing, which is a shame imo. In the comic he looked awesome...but the toy just looks akward. His legs are short and skinny, his arms are long and thick, his waist is tiny and his head is the entire length of the nosecone and cockpit of the jet. He is an easy pass for me, which is dissappointing because I like unique, realistic transformer Jets. But they just seem hard to get right.

I think they are all pretty solid figs - it's nice to see a break from the same-old same-old.

People WERE complaining about it and bashing it a few months ago when pics first appeared. Most folks have probably just gotten it out of their systems, or gotten used to the design.

I myself don't particularly like Dreadwing.... mostly because of his tiny, sideways-jointed legs. But he has enough neat things about him that he's still well worth paying ten bucks for. His jet mode is great, his drone head is unique, his chest design is cool-looking, and his thruster-hands are an innovative idea as well. Because of those things, I forgive the legs.

So I'll have no qualms about buying him.

I like both Dreadwing and Swindle because they remind me of Gobots. There is not enough Gobots influence in modern transforming toy robots anymore (until these).

No, I'm honestly not being sarcastic.

Well, we've already got Bugbite. And I plan on calling the upcoming black Armorhide repaint Road Ranger. :)

To answer Split Lip's question, actually, no, I DIDN'T know Dreadwing had proper knees! I've not seen him in stores yet, and I don't own him, so till now I've just been judging based on photos. From all the photos I saw it looked (to me, at least) like he had knees like Cybertron Scattorshot, that bend to the side. If he has real, forward-back knees.... well, that definitely diminishes my criticism of him. I'm glad to hear that is the case!

Sure, there's a hint of the car-type Super GoBots in these. I wouldn't mind a Herr Fiend redeco of Swindle.

I like Swindle a lot; haven't found Dreadwing yet, but he doesn't seem so bad.

For that matter, critics have not exactly been silent about Dreadwing either.

    Hyperbole rules!

I like all the movie figures -from the main line, I don't collect the FABs.

Starscream is a great toy, I personally wish Hasbro chose not to make the giant gun arms, but the toy is so cool. He looks powerful and nimble in robot mode.
I nearly vommited when I saw the design at first, but now I am 100% down with it.

Dreadwing is worth $10 for the jet mode alone.

I got Swindle, he's nice. But I don't feel like picking any other non movie characters except for Arcee, and maybe Payload.

The rest are too ugly, or have really thin gross legs.

I really think dreadwing is a horrible design. I did buy it though ... because I'm an addict that needs professional help. : (
