Well, I have a choice once more. I'm eyeing two 60 (well, nearly 60) dollar items. The TRU MP Thundercracker, or the Takara Silas Breakdown.

I leave this choice to you. Which should I get?

T-Cracker. More timeless for me, and more bang for the buck.

Whichever one you want the most. Honestly, I wouldn't buy either one, but that's just me...

Which style do you like the most?

If you like the classic style more, then go with Thundercracker.

If you like the current style mode, then go with Silas Breakdown.

I'll say Thundercracker, because it appears the US release is all we're getting for the MP-11 version. Though the Breakdown mold is apparently going to remain a Japanese exclusive, there are still two version of it as Breakdown (normal and Silas) so at least you have an option that you won't really have with Thundercracker.

Personally Thundercracker would be somewhere about 50 on my wants list behind a bunch of Dark of the Moon leftovers. and Silas Breakdown would be top 10 and in front of them.

But I understand some people seem to like MP's for some odd reason.

I'd overpay for Silas before buying this Thundercracker. TC may actually be the better toy but I had one in hand the other day at TRU and it just looked cheap. I could not bring myself to buy TC...and I was right there, three available, ready to get two of them, and could not do it.

I don't even know what Silas Breakdown looks like, plus I don't care, but I'll say Thundercracker.

Odd reason?? They shit down the throats of almost all transformers, THAT'S THE REASON....

    Thundercracker.

I call it a value proposition. In Japan that MP mold is going for MUCH than 60 so you are comparing in import prices, a $60 fig to a $160 fig. Or in local prices a $20 fig to a $60 fig. Unless you really don't like the MP mold or style it's a no brainer IMHO.

I get the feeling that unless something says Takara on the box people think it's "cheap".

MP Thundercracker might not have the deco a purist would want and if they're willing to pay to get that perfect deco, I think they should wait. Pay $180 and get that Takara deco, but for the rest of us "close is good value buyers", Hasbro TC is freaking awesomen.
