It's apparent to me that a lot of these ships- like the one from the set pics- are not ships, but Decepticon alt modes... one of which is Shockwave.
(and I maintain that the ship from the set pics is indeed Shockwave).

Makes you wonder just how prominant Shockwave plays in this film.

And how did you come to this conclusion. Did you see the drones transform into the ships? To me they're just ROV drones controlled by the larger ships hovering over the city.

I don't know dude. Doesn't look like a huge ship to me.
I wouldn't be surprised though if he was a commander of one of the big ships and drops down during the battle.

Those little flying guys are probably 'Cons, I buy it. I don't think the big ships with the lights and cockpits are, though.

Also I don't think Shockwave is a ship. His toy's tank mode looks too official to be a made-up Alt mode by Hasbro, and if he did transform into one of those little ships I doubt Hasbro would change it.

To me the The jetpack drones are like the decepticon equivalent of helicopters and the jets are their jets. And I'm still sticking to the Remotely operated drone theory.

They make me of the Gesellschaft from Megaman Legends more than anything. Especially the one flying overhead during the close-up shot of Bumblebee. Makes me giggle with nostalgia each time I watch that part.
