And is there a devastator out there that combines and transforms individually?

    1. for the moment, yeah.

    2. there are a few devys from different lines/sources, but there isn't a 'proper' version of the large ROTF one. nearest you'll get is the EZ rotf devvy and thats teeny weeny.

Apparently the fuel tank gun was originally planned by Hasbro, but then dropped for cost reasons. Takara then decided to do it anyways, and gave the toy chrome in the process. That's how Buster Optimus Prime came about.

I wouldn't hold my breath for a Hasbro release.

And yes, EZ Collection Devastator might be what you want, but the individual toys are Legends-sized. The Takara versions are of the blind-packed annoying variety, but a Hasbro version will come out as a store exclusive giftset soon.

Actually, Buster Optimus is available here in Taiwan, too. I saw a couple of them Saturday in Taipei. They're selling at really reasonable prices, too. The original was going for about NTD$1800, while I saw the Buster version going for about NTD$2200. To give an idea of what a good price that actually is, in most department stores here the original ROTF Leader prime goes for NTD$2200.

Buster Prime is in my pile of loot at BBTS, so US importers have received or are receiving him now.

Are all these Asian release on Buster Prime are official releases or just imported? When I visit various areas of Asia, I see most of the US stuff or toys that are all in english are usually in major retailers. The Japanese stuff are usually in much smaller stores like specialty shops.
