    Yes.

That acronym which I will never speak from my lips (or type) was spawned solely by an entity of pure evil- the Transformer fandom.

Which Starscream? The same goes for the other seekers and now Cyclonus. Thats one reason why the acronym sucks.

Since we're getting classics rehashes in yellow box, reveal the shield and unity series, I suggest C.H.U.G.Y.U.R.

May I suggest a simple method to keep track of which line you are talking about?

Classics - The first eight Deluxes and three Voyagers, which was more than Hasbro thought would sell.

C-R (short for Classics rebranded) - Henkei, the Japanese version.

C-R^2 (Classics rebranded twice) - Universe series II.

C-R^3 (Classics rebranded thrice) - Generations

C-R^4 (Classics rebranded farce) - Reveal the Shield

    Wasn't that easy?

    "But what about Timelines?"

    Shut up.

"And isn't C-R the abbreviation for Car Robots?"

    Shut up.

...on second thought, just call the whole thing a farce. ;)

Some fans here really take this stuff too seriously :lol  If some fans want to use a silly little acronym and some don't, who cares?

The names have changed so many times. I was good with Classics, ok with Universe, took a liking to CHUG but now we are at CHUGUR or who knows what else.

At this point I am reverting back to calling this line CLASSICS again.

I never had an issue with CHUG but now that the line's name will change about every 6 months I hope the board catches on to calling it all CLASSICS again.

    Thanx
    Transbot90210

P.S. no matter the name the toys all Fn rock.

I think I hate everyone who takes this seriously.

CHUG is a cute enough acronym. I see no compelling reason to make it all-inclusive of every line that includes figures in that style and destroy the whole point of it (catchiness). Most people do display those lines together, so it's fun and useful to have a shorthand for the "meta-line" or "meta-style." Think about how ubiquitous it's become...it's not because it's all that brilliant (no offense Thundershot) but because there is not another word that means that thing.

Frankly, I stopped using it because people started frothing at the mouth about it (either due to it not being inclusive enough or just not liking it) and I didn't even care enough to just watch the frothing, point, and laugh. Now I'm going to call every damn thing "Classics" or "Classics-style" depending on how I feel, and if some pedant drops in to "remind" me that Blurr is in the Generations line I'll just remind him that there never was any such thing as a 2006 line called "Classics" in the first place, if you're going to get that technical. ;)

Apparently people do if multiple threads where created on the subject. It's an open forum and people are entitled to their opinion. Just enjoy the toys. :)
