alt form a mini fotress maximus, just watched rebirth and he seems to be in part 3.
He's the head of Fortress Maximus. No alt mode.
Technically true, but in the rebirth they gave him a computer alt mode that was basically a mini-fort max alt mode, IIRC.
Only in that cartoon though. I don't know about the japanese series, but I believe it was a western decision, and certainly nothing to do with the toy.
Yeh I knew that but I thought the TC was asking if he had the same alt mode in the toy?
just asking comic/cartoon, have the toy i know he just a head
Ah ok. I think in the comic he's just a head as well. And pretty sure the japanese anime also follows the toy.
i wonder if someone could do a custom version turning to lil fort max would be cool
The toy turns into a building.
if someone did that to a g1 cerebros i would cry
This is the same Rebirth that showed BB and Goldbug on screen at the the same time.
This. Well, sort of. Cerebros becomes part of Fort Max's city mode. So yeah, robot body, head and building component. There have been various fan modes for a standalone computer form but none have ever been particularly satisfying.
Arguably, you could say that as Fortress Maximus was a bit smaller in Rebirth, the city part alternate mode was the computer bank, or vice versa.
In any event, Fortress in Headmasters and Grand in Masterforce, plus the RiD reincarnation, never showed standalone alternate modes other than heads.
never seen the jap shows, in rebirth he is the same size as scorponok are you saying he is bigger than him in the jap shows?
Not so much bigger than Scorponok. More like both of them are bigger than everyone else in Headmasters by a rather large margin. Sort of like the scale of Fortress Maximus in Robots in Disguise, that kind of scale, only way more agile.
In Masterforce, Black Zarak is approximately the same size as Overlord / God Ginrai like in the toys, and Grand Maximus is scaled down to their height. In that they're roughly the same scale as the US characters in Rebirth if not a little smaller.
Honestly scale is only relative at best with Transformers, I'd try not to worry about it if I were you.
I blame it on cheap rushed animation.
