I'm 25 years old. A couple years ago, I noticed my hair was starting to thin out, and over the past 6 months or so, have watched my hairline begin to recede. While I'm not as upset about this as I thought I would be, I'm also still in the early stages.

Bosley seems like the best replacement solution by far, but not only does it seem too good to be true, I also doubt I'll ever have the money for the treatments. So, what to do...I've ruled out the George Costanza, and am contemplating between the Simon Pegg, or the all-out Vin Diesel. Also, wether I should grow some form of facial hair to kind of "even" things out.

I'm hoping to get some opinions from people that have gone, or are going through the same issues.

Quit worrying about it until it is ALL GONE! :D

Hey, I've always had genetically thin hair and baldness runs on both sides of my family. My two older brothers are bald, and both of them SHAVE their heads.

If you go that route, seriously, invest in a good scalp shaver to reduce/eliminate the scalp nicks.

Thin har is common in my family as well. My hairline hasn't started receding yet, but it's starting to get thin, and I'm 26. It doesn't bother me that much though; it's a natural process, and when the time comes that I'll start getting annoyed over it, I'll just start shaving my head, and grow a big-ass beard to compensate ;)

    Hey, I'm already growing a big-ass beard so I'm a step ahead. WOO-HOO!

Once it is bushy enough, I might post a picture up. That should be around February of next year at the rate it is growing. :D

Wait, you can't grow facial hair? I think there is a Rogaine for Beards now. :D

I am 28 and my hair has thinned a bit over the past few years. Truth is, there is no reason to worry about it. In this day and age, it's so commen that unless you're looking for girls under 25 who don't realize men go bald yet, a girl won't care that much, and otherwise it shouldn't hurt your confidence. Get a buzz cut almost to the scalp- a perfectly common and stylish hairstyle for men. Don't let media and overpayed actors fool you- most men go bald.

I'm 24 and I've been losing my hair since I'm 17 years old. The top is fairly thin, and I keep it cut short - it's barely noticeable.

    It's really nothing to sweat.

I have the opposite problem. I need a haircut almost every 2 1/2 weeks. There are lots of products you could try that may help, rogaine, propecia. Try and look those up. But please don't get a weave or plugs or anything of the sort.

DO NOT DO A COMB OVER!!! That is the most retarded looking thing ever invented. Go buy you a nice set of clippers. If you're afraid of the full shaved look, go a guard at a time. Start with a longer one, I stopped when I ran out of guards. I shave mine with just the clippers. Oh, and :useless

i dunno how you can be losing your hair at 25....are you stressed alot? im 24 and have ALOT of stress problems and ive got alot of grey hairs because of it. Thing is tho im pretty vain about my hair and like it when ive alot of it and can spike it upwards. i dont like short hair myself but i think guys with pony tails MUST be gay or something because why else does a man grow hair that long unless he is trying to say he wants to be a woman without actually saying it?

I don't think it's a big deal, honestly. Cut it short, when that doesn't work anymore, shave it bald. Hell, I do that sometimes 'cause it looks sharp and I've got a head full of hair.

But yeah, if it really bothers you, I think that Rogaine stuff is supposed to work as a preventive measure for hair loss, and it's over the counter (at least stateside).

Propecia is a prescription drug for hair loss, but its most common side effects are:

    1) Decreased libido
    2) Decreased ejaculate volume
    3) Impotence
    4) Gynecomastia, more commonly called "man-boobs."

Personally, I don't see the upside.
