I'll post the link when I'm at home but this has been bugging me. From the perspective of a non-TF fan I'm a bit annoyed at the ultimate absense of DOTM in any catagory.

I looked under action movies and it wasn't there. No whether the film was good overall or not I think it isn't fair to no include DOTM since it was one of the films of the years with the most magnificant action sequences. Instead MI:4 was on there even though it's not out for the public yet.

Under 3D DOTM wasn't there either and this just shows how biased IGN is and how they're jumping on the bandwaggon as the team behind DOTM were the team who worked on Avatar who IGN went on and on about. But there was no mention. Instead we have the likes of "A Very Harold and Kumar Christmas" which juding from the trailer alone shows typica throw-in-the-face 3D and I have to think "Really?"

Like I said this isn't because I loved DOTM and think it deserves something but I think this list by IGN was poorly made.

I agree with you. From my own perspective (and leaving behind the fact that I'm a fan of the TF movies), what's the worth of reaching the 1 billion dollar mark in gross income if it wasn't recognized for the amazing results of public viewing? Yes, Transformers DOTM "should" be nominated by at least one award.

    Oh IGN...

Who cares about awards? Anyone with an iota of sense can see the amazing work that was done of DotM or any of the live action TF movies for that matter. I don't need a statue/certificate/smiley sticker to tell me what I like and don't like.

It's IGN. You probably wasted 3 minutes of your life even writing anything regarding their opinion. You'll never get those three minutes back. Sometimes, I'll look at their game reviews, but it's usually a curiosity. Oh My Gosh, I just wasted 43 seconds.

IGN is pretty bad with list so I wouldn't put too much weight to their lists. On technical awards based on just technical merits Dark of the Moon should be on any of the technical awards short list, if it's not then the list is based on something other than just technical merits and achievement.

I don't know what DOTM should be nominated for. I have seen many much better movies and even those did not get any awards and DOTM did not do something special. The movies grossed a lot of money. But the taste of the general public and art don't get along well. So grossing a lot of money does not mean anything. Look at the music charts. The top placed music is the worst, but is bought by the majority of people. The majority of people have a bad taste.

IGN area waste of a site, ignore them.

However Harold and Kumar definitely had better uses of 3D than DOTM. I shall fight anyone who says otherwise.

You can't spell "Ignorance" without "IGN".

To be fair, DOTM had at least three instances of throw-in-the-face 3D as well.
