Christopher Nolan, Chris Columbus, James Cameron, and I can't think of any directors lately... I would like to see Hans Zimmer do the music for the next movie if there is one. I know he's been collaborating with Steve Jablonsky on the past 2.

Zack Snyder seems to have a very similar style to Michael Bay in a lot of respects. Don't believe me, watch Watchmen and then tell me there aren't parallels.

Not saying we need to chnage like for like, but if there was too much of a swing in style I think it would be too jarring (for my tastes anyway, as I quite like what Bay did).

J.J. Abrams or Peter Jackson. Especially Jackson, I'd love a 3+ hour long Transformer movie, buy the special edition DVD and watch the even longer extended director's cut :D

Steven Spielberg or J.J. Abrams. Or rather, J.J. Abrams AND Steven Spielberg.
    Perfection.

Zack Snyder would be perfect, perfect as in, to continue the Bayformers movies, not as in, create a perfect transformers movie.

The action would be top notch, but the story would be lacking, perfect substitute to continue the franchise.

The question is, if it continues without shia, what humans do you think should take the focus? Lennox and Epps?

    THIS^^

Cullen is Optimus and Optimus is Transformers, for a JJ style reboot to work we need a new one... Unless time travel is involved and old Prime meets new Pri... wait, wait thats been done but I cant think of any other way...

For some reason I don't see JJ doing a TF movie. The dude needs to get on with Cloverfield and Star Trek.

This. Cameron will turn most of the film into a god damn cheesy love story while ripping off 30 pieces of literature in the process.

The weird thing is I love all his tv work...but didn't really care for any of the movies he directed except for MI3...because it felt like his tv shows.

Steven Spielberg is really the only choice. Anyone who says Nolan or Cameron doesn't understand those directors. While they certainly are wonderful filmmakers, the Transformer series just doesn't suit their styles.
