So, I wonder if I'm going to get snowed in at work.

1/2 an inch of snow has fallen in the last half an hour and from the looks of the radar it's going to get worse as the night goes on.

I am under contract to be here as long as they are running machinery (on my shift anyway), and two machine operators actually showed up for work. So unless the customer calls off the shift early I am going to have a very hard time getting home tonight.

Tell the customer the machines turned out to be evil and you killed them.

Man that sucks. Just got out of the hotel industry, and management had to stay on property during these types of deals. Sorry to hear, buddy, hope you get home soon.

If you do, I hope it turns into a wacky children's comedy kinda situation, and not a weird Lord of the Flies thing.

If you don't, drive safe on the way home, and watch out for the idiots that don't.

Drive fast so that you're on the road less.

    It's what I do.

I got out of work early today because of it. Took me a little over twice as long to get home. I was happy...

So you drive 3 cars at once? Because I came across at least that many on my way home from class this evening.

Well, I managed to make it home ok, no thanks to the Louisville Metro Government though, none of the roads, not even I-65 have been plowed or salted. It was like driving on a freaking sheet of ice!!!

If a plow truck doesn't come down my road soon, I might not make it to work tonight. Snow's been falling since early this morning, doesn't look like its been touched.

It will snow a few times during the winter, but it's usually never more than an inch or so and usually melts in a day or two.

Some winters we don't get any snow accumulation at all.

That sounds like us. If it is anything like 'Bama, our city has NO idea how to prepare/react during even a few inches. Add ice to the equation, and it's like the middle ages around here.

Ahh well, glad you made it home to the kids safe and sound.

Yep, I remember winter when I lived in Tuscaloosa, 1/2 inch of snow, everything shuts down. Everybody rushes to the store to get bread and milk :lol

It's not too bad over here in England, I seem to live in the one place in the north-east that gets absolutely no snow. 1979 was the last major snowfall here!
