I picked up a ds lite today with starfox command, I'm sure I'll blow through the game in a bit. So I was wondering what good games are there for the system as most of the people I know generally dont play the types of games I like. I plan on getting megaman zx, but aside from that dunno what to get. So here are the type of games I do like

Strategy (prefer real-time but if its good I'll take turn based)

anything intresting even if its bizzare

something with things that blow up real good

    Thanks in advanced

    Must gets:

Advance Wars DS (Especially since you like strategy, this is one of the best ever)
Castlevania Dawn of Sorrow (and its GBA prequal, Aria of Sorrow)

I second Castlevania and Sonic Rush. The next CV should be coming out soon as well. For puzzlers there's always Tetris and Meteos. Meteos is the better game but Tetris has online.

I should deffinately add Mario 64DS. With 120 stars to collect, a pile of minigames, and four characters it should keep you busy for a while. I still haven't done everything and I got it at launch.

Animal Crossing is also a great game but it's about fifty fifty on who will enjoy it. It's the kind of game for people who can make their own fun.

If you like strategy, Advance Wars DS is the best TBS game I've played.

You can even make and save your own maps in the map creator... I've recently made a Helms Deep map!

Metroid seems a given, given your liking for action...

    And lastly Mario Cart!

For things that blow up get laptop with a Sony battery!

Though people are having a hard time finding them:
Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney - Play as an attorney
Trauma Center: Under the Knife - Surgeon people
    Cooking Mama - Cooking Game

    you could also try:
Harvest Moon DS - Farming (with hooking up) sim
Lost in Blue - trying to stay alive is the hard part
Feel the Magic: XX/XY - Mini-games (with you trying to hook up)
The Rub Rabbits - sequel to Feel the Magic: XX/XY

Don't forget, DS has no R=egion Lock, so go ahead and Import freely with DS titles.

Sonic Rush is a definite must buy. It is a faced paced action-platformer and is a BLAST to play.

If you want to hone your brain, Brain Age is good, but limited. It does have Sudoku on there as well.

Metroid Prime: Hunters. Once you get used to the control, it is an AWESOME game. Single player is okay, but WiFi multiplayer is where the true fun lies. You can have fun with friends, local strangers, or even against people worldwide.

Trauma Center: Under the Knife. I'm glad I got it when it first came out, as it is now getting hard to find. It isn't a "graphic" game but it is a lot of fun. Most of the surgeries have you removing tumors or doing similar tasks.

If you like games where you can pick up and go, Wario Ware: Touched or the GBA version Wario Ware: Twisted are both good games. I prefer, since it is the DS, Touched. It uses the stylus and even the microphone for games. There is one minigame that uses the microphone where it requires silience. You can't say a thing or blow into the microphone or you fail.

Metroid Prime Pinball. Wow, it is a FUN arcade style game where you control Samus in her ball mode. There are boss fights, levels to unlock and so much to have.

I just got Trauma Center and must say that it is fun, but very frustrating. Most of the surgeries take several tries to get it right, and failing tends to hurt more than on most puzzle games.

Kirby DS has the best use of the touch screen so far.

Which Kirby? Canvas Curse, or the new one?

I tried Canvas Curse, and althought it has a LOT going for and unique control I just couldn't quite get into it like past Kirby titles. It just isn't Kirby if he isn't sucking up or eating someone.
