i know, late to the party, scored it from ebay for a tasty tenner. but man, this game LOOKS INCREDIBLE running upscaled through my ps3. amazing graphics, it could almost pass for current gen game imo.

anyways, i didn't play much past the 20 minute intro, but it looks like i could lose a lot of time to this one. i also like the bark button. WOOF!

It starts of great, and rapidly loses its muster but I understand it's well worth continuing with.

If I hadn't lost my PS2 save I woulda finished it by now.

    WELCOME!

Also; it beats the living shit out of Twighlight Princess.

It just gets a little drawn out... sticking with it is totally worth it though.

    DO IT.

Yes, stick with it, I admit that the starting is a drag.

I've had it for two years and haven't really played it yet. I put it in to give it a try, and ended up having to sit through that crap 20 minute intro. so I then played about half an hour of it, saved it, and haven't played it since. I really can't stand the mumbling that passes for speech in the game. but once I have time, I'm sure I'll love it.

Okami is (heh) godly. It's deceptively long, too.

... I need to dust it off and play it again...

Yes Deceptively. You literally think you are about to beat it and the game just started. There are also a lot of funny-as hell moments, especially with your fairy flirting with the women. That game is one of my (I would never ever sell games).

oh God no. the only nintendo system I've ever owned is the snes, and that was only for the squaresoft games. definitely NOT a zelda fan. :lol

*edit* actually, truth be told, I'm a big time sega fan, although I haven't really mentioned it. even imported ikaruga and the UK shenmue 2 for my dreamcast. ;)

Awesome game, but I had to give up when I met the fourth or fifth block-rock-guardian guy, one of those that you have to hit the dots just right to break him.

I couldn't beat him - I even used an erasable sharpie on the screen to mark the positions of the disappearing dots, but after twenty or so tries he would not go down. Screamed, turned it off, haven't looked back since.

Shame, because I couldn't put the game down for days.

Yeah. Those block guardians are .... ugh. My one real annoyance with the game. I gave up on my quest to collect all of the beads when I found out I'd have to beat an ultra-hard one to get one of them.

I tried, the fastest I could get is 35.

Oh those who want to beat the final block : Camera phone is your friend, you can repeat the clip over and over again while pressing the draw screen.
