It involves my email. So, I have to send in my resume and cover letter to my summer job boss in order to get in. I have tried to send it via THREE different email addresses (gmail, rogers etc). When I try to send the email with the file, it doesn't send. It loads...stops...and then says "done". It doesn't give me the "your email has been sent" page. And I know I didn't send it because it doesn't show up on my sent list. I know I have an internet connection because I can play games, surf the web and download. I think it might be a virus or something wrong with the file (Word document). Anyone know of the reason? Worse case scenario is that I print it out or burn it to a CD and hand it in. I just want to know whymy email doesn't work.

    Dunno.

Why not copy and paste all of your text into a totally new Word file and try sending it again just for fun?

Just tried. I think it might be the formatting or something. Maybe to large a file? I don't think 47.0 KB is to big...

    No, that's not too big.

Can you send other attachments? Excel? Picture files? Try sending yourself something with a different attachment?

I just sent myself one with the attachment, so it has to be the file. I figured as much. Maybe if I save it as a plain text?

In my day we used fax machines. Do people still use them things?

What about a different text program that doesn't save them as .doc files, like Wordpad. Depends on how fancy your resume is, 'cause not all the formatting carries over, but if it's not too fancy it can be tweaked pretty easily.

    Did you just add attachment?

After the attachment is added you usually still need to press Send Email. I know it sounds stupid but sometimes the biggest problems have the easiest solutions.

I use one every day. Our drug testing company always sends us 30 page faxes which ties up the machine (and it's copy functions) for a good 10 minutes, and I'm always receiving faxed treatment reports or police reports.

Other times, I have far more interesting faxes with Lance Halberd.

Yeah we have one in our office. 98% of the banks I work with I deal with entirely online. I have like 2 we fax applications to. I use them very little, it is so much easier to track my deals online.

And OldSchool80sKid, Funny though I think our fax machine is as old as Die Hard 2, which by the way I have always failed to convince my wife that DH and DH2 are the best "Christmas" movies ever. She claims they are not christmas movies, it tell her "Hellooo they happen at chrismas" :D

Back OT, did you get that figured out yet gnaw?
