I was at the pet store and when our eyes met I melted right then and there.

Let me introduce you to Nel [IMG]

In spite of that picture, I'm pretty sure she's not the antichrist.

Why are his ears down? Is he scared or something. Or is that a way to channel Satan's power?

Read below the pic. I said "She" A lop is a breed of domestic rabbit with large soft ears. Not too different from how there are dogs with standing ears and dogs with floppy ears.

    Good god that's adorable.

What's the usual life-span for bunnies?

    1. Be careful. The fuckers can bite hard. Kicking too. I've worked with snapping turtles, snakes and other assorted critters, and the only scar I ever got was from a bunny's hind claws.

    2. They like getting rubbed on the cheeks. If they start grinding their teeth, its basically a bunny-gasm.

While she's so little, now is a great time to start litter training. litter training is easy for rabbits, since they specify one certain place in their environment to do their business. just watch her until you notice where that spot is (she'll decide, you won't), then put a litterbox in that location with some of her bedding in there (make sure you take it from her cage, so it'll have her scent). gradually move the litter box closer and closer each day to the spot that you want it to be in. about 2 weeks later, ta-da! litter trained bunny. they still have accidents from time to time when they're so little though.

If you havent already, get some vitamin drops for her water. I use sun-drops. bunnies are very prone to illnesses, and the vitamins help that a lot.

Wow, I didn't think they lived that long. I always thought they were like Hamsters or mice for some reason I have no way of explaining.

Bunnies crap easy-to-clean-up pellets, too, right?

Dood, I wouldn't be so sure that the bunny isn't evil. Remember the battle between King Arthur and the killer rabbit? Those things are dangerous! Click the link if you don't believe me.
See here for why (image not placed into thread since it's not my bandwidth)
    'Nuff said.

Welcome to the world of rabbit-ownership. I've got my own rabbit and he's.. interesting. He growls.. While he doesn't bite or kick, he's pretty agressive.

Are you going to train the rabbit to go in a cat box? I had a few growing up, but we kept them outside in cages. Now, we couldn't have a rabbit if we wanted one as both the familys dogs by breed are rabbit and vermin hunters. The cat wouldn't like a rabbit using her box, either...
