Ghostbusters is one of my favorite movie, hands down, and Ghostbusters 2 isn't as good but it's still up that as one of the best comedies. I think word got around that Bill Murray didn't like it so everyone had to back him up. Seriously, it's worth watching. The game was a great part 3 as well. Personally, I'm more of an Egon fan then a Peter fan.

Ghostbusters is a pretty decent movie. It was all the rage in 1984, and is still popular today. That says a lot of good things about how well it has held up after a quarter of a century. It is one of my all-time favorite movies.

Ghostbusters 2 is rather lame. The best part of it is Viggo. Unless you like movies where demons like possessing cute babies, skip it.

I WISH I could play the Ghostbusters game for my XBOX 360, but every time I put it in, it says I have to download some update, otherwise it can not be played. I haven't hooked it up to go online yet, so I'm pretty bummed about this. I've heard it is a pretty good game.

Very good Louis. Short, but, pointless. :lol

Me too. I can quote both of them word for word. It's kind of sad. :D

    There's a line something like this :

"Your Ugly, Your short & your a terrible burden on your poor mother"

That (or similar) line made me laugh in Ghostbusters 2.

Also check out "Stripes" if you like Ghostbusters it's got a lot of the same people in it and worked on it.

Add about 20 or so years on her and tell me you still think she's hot!
I admit, that was one of her better appearances.
I don't think I liked her as much when she shaved her head for the Alien movies.

The part that scared me when I was little was when the woman (forgot her name) opened the fridge and the demon dog thing appeared inside of it saying "ZOOL!"

I'm clearly in a minority, but I love Ghostbusters 2! It's great fun, and a worthy follow-up to GB1. I love both films, and say WATCH GB2! It has a different tone/style than the first (despite following a similar plot structure), but that's better than a carbon copy.

"Where the hell are you from anyway?"
    "Ze upper vest side."

"You're not sleeping with it, are you Ray?"

"Some times, **** happens, some one has to deal with it, so who ya gonna call?" (cue cheers from the courtroom)

"So your alien had a room at the Holiday Inn?"

"And that's the whole problem with aliens. You just can't trust them. Occasionally you meet a nice one - Starman, ET - but usually they turn out to be some kind of big green lizard!"

    Love it!

The dialogue and character interplay in GB2 is actually superior to GB1 (heresey, there I've said it).

Put me on the list for liking GB2 & the video game.

Sequels are rarely on par with the original, so it's not as good as the first one, but it's Ghostbusters--it's basically just more of what you saw in the original. Definitely watch it.

..and I wouldn't be so quick to disregard the Wii version of the game. I always thought the animation looked cool (more cartoonish), but I have it for the 360 so never played it on the Wii. I bet it's damn cheap now too.

Correction: Go watch the first 3 seasons. Ignore the rest >_> Once Peter's voice changes, RUN (ok, the Grundle episode was good, but that's pretty much the LAST good episode)

Saw GB2 about 8 times including again last night trying to convince myself it's as good as the first one.

There's just no way. GB2 is pretty lame :(

Trying to find magic in the plot of GB2 is pretty pointless. The magic is all in the superior dialogue. Hell, I've heard more GB2 quotes from people than I've ever heard GB1 quotes.

+1. The DVD's are great. Volume 3 came out in August.

Is that also the same time they changed the look of Janine? I never liked her later look as she looked a lot cooler with her punk hair. I also liked the earlier Janine Peter voices better.

Peter was originally voiced by the late Lorenzo Music from 1986-1987, and then Dave Coulier took over (1987-1991). Dave Coulier didn't even try to come anywhere remotely close to how Lorenzo voiced the character. Despite that, I really enjoyed all of The Real Ghostbusters, including Slimer, and the Real Ghostbusters.
