I'm a PC and windows 7 was my idea.

Pathetic attempt at a joke aside, I don't know enough about the Mac. I stick with PC because of all my games, can they even run on a Mac??

Yet, apparently Macs don't get viruses........

I absolutely adore my Imac computer. Received one a year ago for my birthday and I love it so much I'm saving up for a Mackbook Pro laptop so I can travel with my Itunes, and internet.

I will NEVER, EVER go back to crashing, failing, constantly updating, getting sick all the time, virus-infected, program-crashing, blue-screenitus, "are you sure you wish to continue, are you sure you wish to continue" RAM hungry Windows ever again.

Love my Ipod, Iphone, Imac, and will love my Mackbook Pro. I see no need for the Ipad however..............................

Oh sorry for my rambling and congrats on the switch!

Some games on Steam also run on Mac. Most of Valve's Source based games have been ported over already.

1a. Is there a Mac version of Halo 1 out there? If so, can it be played online?

Yes Halo came out for the Mac as well.

1b. There's a Halo Custom Edition floating around out there if I recall correctly. Does that work on Mac as well?

    Not sure, but most likely.

    2. I own quite a few videos that require codec or DivX to play. Would I have to download them on a Mac? Or am I in the clear?

Ever heard of VLC? Otherwise just install pertain and quicktime can open almost anything

    3. Can AIM work on Mac? I have a few friends that I chat with a bit on it.

Yes, ichat is a AIM client.

I'm pretty happy with the Mac Mini overall, little expensive but it saves me the trouble of building a PC that's silent (which was a huge selling point for me).
