I got the set with Duke, Roadblock, the robot and that little guy (is it tunnel rat?) and the sculpts are pretty good. I don't like the fact that their lower body is pretty much "locked" in a pose, especially since both Duke and Roadblock have a poseable torso.

They look great standing next to my Alternators (the main reason I got them), but I don't like the little bases that are sculpted onto them, does anyone have an idea how to get them off of there - would a simple sharp scalpel work? Has anyone else tried this?

Can they be fitted inside a Alternator? If so I may pick up a few of these.

I haven’t looked closely at there bases but I assume they are just plastic yes? I would use a hobby knife (exacto knife) to cut away the bulk of it then a file to flatten out the bottom of the feet.

That's kind of what I was thinking, I'm gonna have to go get a new hobby knife.

The Driver figures that come with the vehicles are awesome too, but I'd hate to pay $10 just to get the little figure.

First, the figure packs are frozen into position, but the ones that come with vehicles often aren't. Articulation is typically on Old School Star Wars standard, but they aren't statues.

Second, the figures are in scale with Alternators, or at least damn close. But I haven't yet found one that can fit. If you want to chop the legs off, it might work.

In the figure pack I got the arms and mid torsos are articulated, but yeah, the lower legs are pretty much stuck in a pose, I wish they made the "figure pack" guys the way the driver guys are. :(

You don't have to chop the legs off. Most of the legs just pop off them so you can fit them in.

Those look great! Almost makes you wonder if they'll do a GI Joe/Transformers line, much akin to the Transformers/Star Wars line.

    HMMMM.

    ;)
