    After last Valentine's Day, my girfriend and I had this same discussion as she had wanted to "write" the TF noise into the OP Valentine card she had gotten me.

    We eventually settled on "Schit-schet-scheh-schert-schurrt."

    I've seen people use "chk chk chk" or even "transforming noise"
    Personally I like "cha chi chu che cho"

    That's one thing that always gets me... how to properly spell the transformation sound... and this is coming from someone who was among the top 10 spellers in her class back in the day...

    It's sort of a combination between a long "ch" sound and a slight "shhh" sound.

    chhick chhaak chhuuuk chhook (robot to vehicle)
    chhook chhuuuk chhaak chhick (vehicle to robot)
