So how come the movie is coming out so early on DVD?

    spiderman 3's been out on dvd for almost 2 weeks now in boomerangland
    we also got transformers early
    this has been a surprisingly good year moviewise
    but we only get half the toys

    Correct. I can't figure that one out. Just out of curiousity, when is Shrek 3 coming out? That was the other big one this year....

    Spiderman 3 has been out in NZ too for a good 2 weeks or so. I think POTC 3 is out here too, i'll go check now.


    edit: Nope, POTC is released Nov 21 here, TF is Nov 1

    I'm happy that it's coming out on October 16th... I didn't want to wait until Christmas just to get my hands on it.

    My guess is that, because they were second to last of the big five to hit theatres, they want to be first to hit the DVD market.

    meh...i already bought the Spiderman 3 DVD last month (it's already out in Southeast Asia) and bought the transformers dvd yesterday.

    They got a lot of money from the film so they had more money for production of the DVD.

    No, it's so that they won't have to deal with picking between the two if they were to be released around the same time.
