If you couldn't tell by now, I take my time in getting these things done.

The arms on the Scion seem to better resemble the original artwork, in my opinion:

Granted their small in comparison to the body, but most apes do have slender, lanky arms, they just have denser muscle mass. Of course, I've taken some creative liberties with the paint scheme, but only cause I had to buy an entire can of this purple paint so I might as well use it for more than the forearms.

Besides the doghouse tends to resemble that gorilla gut made famous by Primal. And this configuration of the roof lends itself to simply sliding the cannons into place. As well as looking like a place for storage for whatever projectile is being launched outta those cannons.

Paint looks good, and I am digging the cannons. Give that alt some serious firepower.

Not yet anyway, we'll see how far I get once I start working on the Scion body panels this time.

That's primarily the Model Masters Prowler Purple, I wasn't too keen on all the metal flake, but the clear coat helped kill some of the sparkle. The other shade is the same shade I used for Galvatron. I really like it better, but since I'd already used that color...

The fingerless glove look really came out better than I'd thought. It's a pain in the butt to mask off though.

I can't tell by any of the pictures you've posted - did you remove the rear set of seats? I've noticed on my Skids that they come out quite easily and might give you additional storage space for weapons, Squawktalk, whatever....

I haven't... but that's not a bad idea. I haven't messed with this Scions legs at all. I remember fighting with the hinged pieces of the rear bumper last time and have been talking myself out of trying to do the same with this one.

Honestly, finding the time just to paint the arms has been considerable progress on this project.

Not done, but done enough for now. At least the bot components are finished for all intents.

I really like how the "beast" head is in fact a helmet! Very clever! :thumb
