    ...whattaya think Hasbro's gonna show?

think we'll get an early peak at anything post-movie like how they showed of Classics and Classics 2.0 a year early?

That's exactly what I'm hoping. Hell, I'd even be elated for a "We will be continuing Universe again next year." That's mostly what I care about.

And I suupose it would be nice to know if Animated Arcee and Electrostatic Soundwave will be released at all. I actually wouldn't mind picking those up.

Here's what I think we may see:

    -Animated being discontinued.
    -Universe 3.0 after ROTF
-A sneak peek at the next Transformers series
-images of ROTF toys we've already seen
-some new ROTF toys we haven't seen yet

If I'm right on ALL FIVE of these, someone better give me a cookie.

I'll bet on TFA's status, ALOT of ROTF stuff and maybe just maybe preview on 2010 plans.

I expect "We're focusing on the movie, look at all of these wonderful movie toys, BTW, did we mention the movie"

I think they're going to announce that Transformers has been canceled & will be replaced with Gobots 2.0 in 2010.

    no animated
    no news on universe
rotf toys that will soon get old
new rotf toys that in 3 days yishi will show us and we will soon see the ebay and see reviews and see tons of people buy that toy(s) off ebay and at retail will become peg/shelf warmers and doesnt this seem like this is already happening

I'd bet on most of those, with some clarifications based on history:

*ROTF - the stuff we already know about, some stuff we don't know about, and one or two repaints/store exclusives that cause facepalming.

*Official confirmation of the fate of Animated - If we're lucky, we might get info on what happens with the remaining toys, but "We're looking for something to do with them, nothing yet." is equally-to-more likely.

    * If anything is shown for post-ROTF stuff, it's probably only going to be a few pieces of concept art, maybe a gray resin prototype toy if we're really lucky.

I'd like to be there, but I won't this year. I'm hoping for "the remaining Animated toys will come out (date and place)" and "MP Grimlock coming out later this year" myself, but not holding my breath.

i could see something along those lines, but i think if Hasbro is leading the charge on it we'd see something that blends Movie Aesthetics with more of a Classic TF Aesthetic ~ i think the Alternity molds are a reasonable example, they're a little more "organic" than Alternators/Classics 2.0 but not as "Shardy" and Organic as Movie designs.

They showed off Sunstreaker (or was it Sideswipe?) for Classics 2.0 @ the 07 botcon when it was all about the movie ~ i'm really not expecting much more than a hint of what's to come, but i think they'll show off something...

That's sort of what I'm thinking will happen. Just like with the Q&A everything will get turned into something about the movie with not really any recognition that some collectors are looking for something that isn't movie related.

Makes it really hard to get excited about Bot Con news and pictures when the movie stuff just isn't appealing or exciting to me.

Maybe next year I can get excited about Bot Con news and pictures.

I think you're right, except on the Animated.

I think they're going to give us a "We're trying, but we can't confirm anything yet."

The third point I'm not sure about, but I don't think it's unlikely.

This is what I'm fearing. I don't think I could be less interested in the movie toys, and sadly that's all there is any news about lately.

Accept for the TRU Perceptor and Insecticon reissuses! Hurrah!
