Well another teaser for Final Crisis...

Darkseid appears to be the last surviving New God. Now he's paying attention to earth again.

 

Interesting. This may be a "read in store" story.

 

I've enjoyed Countdown, hopefully FC will keep my interest too.

 

Been looking forward to this for a while. Usually I wait until a TPB to read stuff like this, but I plan on going issue by issue on Final Crisis.

 

I trust Morrison to deliver a pretty good story, and it's only 6 or 7 issues, so I'll bite. No tie-ins, though.

Countdown has sucked total ass so far, but Final Crisis might be good. Morrison can usually be counted on the provide an entertaining read. Even if everything he does is really TEH BEST THING EVAR!!!!

 

I recall hearing that SPOILERS: Batman would indeed be killed, die during all of this, though I think it was supposed to be in his own book. I'm not sure if that is true or not, but I've heard it from a few reputable (at least to me) people.

 

Those rumors were I think denied by DC.

 

I think they were denied like Gen. Magnus said, but then other random noise on the Net-o-web kinda backed up the death theory.

Guess we'll see soon enough.

I'm kinda..both ways on the issue personally. I think it would be really interesting to see what would come of it, but at the same time..eh, I'd not much care to read DC if that happened.

I dunno. The third 'Crisis' in as many years...he may have a point there. As for the death of a certain character spoilertexted above..no way. If so, it'll be an incredibly short-lived development that will be rectified by July, 18, 2008.

I never understood all of the huge comic book events. I used to collect Dark Horse religiously. K.I.S.S. The Alien and Predator comics were awesome, until batman and superman came along...

 

I think I've seen an ad in a recent issue of one of the comics with his logo all bloody, like when Superman died. I'll try and dig it up to scan it, assuming I didn't imagine it. I didn't pay much attention to it and I try not to read too many net spoilers about that character.

 

I doubt Batman dies since he stars in Trinity, the next weekly-year long suckfest.
