In the months leading to this point people have been pointing to a piece of concept art and proclaiming it was Dragstrip. I vehemently proclaimed it was not Dragstip; that it was Swindle. The reasons for this are moot now but mostly I just didn't think they would make that character. So I've officially been proven wrong. And since I am a man who is always willing to admit his mistakes I take this opportunity to publicly admit I was wrong. Congratulations to everyone who stuck by that theory. He's got a pretty cool design.
Fixed. I was gonna make it "yuppy pants" but that would make no sense and sounds like a 2 year old thought of it.
Because of a few reasons. First off, he was a yellow Decepticon that seemed to transform into into a scout sized character. I expected Swindle to be a scout you see. Secondly I find it hard to believe they would make Dragstrip given he would also be a yellow scout (again, I expected Swindle to be a scout). Plus Dragstrip isn't exactly a highly beloved character so unless they were doing all the Stunticons I just found it unlikely that they would do him. Thirdly, I know how much stuff can change in game development so a piece of concept art depicting a character can change drastically from start to release. Therefore it seemed extremely likely that it was just an old design for Swindle that was done up and then changed after it was hung on the wall. As I recall that's the basis for my conclusion.
Not at all. But I was very adamant that it wasn't Dragstip. I have absolutely no issues admitting when I am wrong. So I made this thread just to let the people I argued against know that I acknowledge my mistake. I don't want people to think I'm so stubborn that I can't admit my own mistakes. And yeah, I expected the majority of posts to be, "Who cares?" The answer to that question is that I care.
What makes you think that we care that you don't care? Your post doesn't need to exist. With so many Transfans thinking they're right and everyone else is wrong, it's nice to see someone admit they're wrong every so often.
Maybe not. At least you weren't a dick about it... Yes, Dragstrip's design is awesome. That alone validates it enough for me.
