Haha I know I'm way late on this pic but I keep seeing myself going into a panic attack trying to get that megatron off the top shelf without bending the flap.

Well, the 1984, 1985 toys were re-released in Europe as Classics and were available alongside the Headmasters and Powermasters. So, while that pic is not authentic from the 80s, it actually still looked like this. I remember standing in front of aisles like that and deciding wether to buy Springer, Sandstorm or one of the Headmasters, etc. I was waiting for the 1986 toys to be released that were advertised in the pack in catalog, but I did not know, that these toys were 1986 releases. I only learned that later on the internet.

I love how the topic of vintage toys turns into theorizing about time travel.....everytime. :peoples:  lol. I know i do it or play the wisha, woulda, coulda game :banghead: .

Some guys were really getting into it about the implications of traveling back and hoarding toys earlier in the thread. I was dying laughing. Shit got real. Don't fuck with the temporal prime directive. Pshhh everybody knows that

Which would be a shame as it's a phenomenally nice G1 toy, one of my favourites.

I just discovered this topic (inspired to search for it by the Your Earliest TF Toy Memories thread just started,) and man... I literally cried. No shame whatsoever. I didn't know photos of these store displays existed!

Not sure if this has been posted and not sure if it's actually vintage or just a display similar to 20th Century Toy Collector's recreation, but it definitely brings back memories for me (c/o Transformers-Toys-Action Figures-Store-Pictures | Transformerland.com )

Also, I hope this is okay, and if not I'll remove them, but I tried to enlarge, sharpen, and color correct two of the earlier photos posted in this topic. Not sure how well they turned out, but I love seeing them larger like this at least lol.

Oh sweet, sweet memories. :') Thanks so much for this topic existing.
