Wow! Just wow. It brings a tear to my eyes seeing those pictures. I remember as a kid walking around the TRU for hours while my mother was shopping near by. Loved all those boxes of toys. I don't collect GIjoe but still cool to see all that stuff.

Wish stores still looked like that. This thread has got to be my favorite I have read. Wish I would have been alive back then to see all of this goodness.

Don't have any pictures, but sure do remember what the shelves looked like. My two main sources were Target and KayBee Toy Store.

I don't know if it looks that way now because the stores don't care, or because of a$$hole parents who don't control their kids.......

Those pics bring back some memories, I forgot how f-ing big the Terrordrome was.......

Ever go out to the Childrens Palace out by the Monroeville Mall? Good memories there got my G1 Inferno and He-Man Trap Jaw there on different occasions. It's weird you remember things like that.

Nah I am from Erie originally and didn't move here til college. I think Children's Palace was long gone by then. Actually the main places I shopped for TF around here when I started buying them again (G2) were Hills, KB, TRU I guess. Probably not WM so much and we didn't have Target back then.

So was Toy World an actual chain? We only had the one so I always figured it was local.

I remeber as a kid going to Baton Rouge cause Lafayette didnt have a TRU yet and walking and seeing the toy aisles full from floor to ceiling.Everything straight and in order.Toys as far as the eye of a young child could see,it was almost fairytale like if you think of it.Those were good times.

I was 6 years old when TF's came out in '84 so I don't remember much. I REALLY wish I still had all the ones I had though... :(

Wow. makes me wish I spent more time in the transformers aisle and not the girly stuff aisle. Used to have pictures of when I got my G1 Astrotrain. Still have Astrotrain though.

    Edit:
And this is my 750th post! I still remember the day I joined this site. Good times.

Four pages and only two pictures. I think this thread should be renamed "Toy Store Memories."
