So according to the news, I'm in a full fledged blizzard for tonight and tomorrow.

And the power keeps cutting out every now and then.

Damned trees falling over better now cause a permanent outage!

I could see a tree falling over nearby causing your 0S arms to fall off.

I'm in lower Somerset County, Pennsylvania....and there's over two feet of this white crap on the ground. It's days like this that I tend to work extremely hard on my novel and dream about the day I can pack my stuff and move to someplace very warm.

You never know how much you love the snow until it's gone. I'm in Australia for two years and I'd rather take the cold and snow over the heat.

The problem is that when you're somewhere warm you don't get a proper summer. Sure, the Australian winter is warm and sunny but you don't have the daylight hours so it doesn't feel like a proper summer. Now we're in summer and it's so bloody hot that you can't take advantage of the long days. I'd much rather take a cold winter and an awesome summer than a warm winter and a blistering summer. I can get permanent residence status after I graduate, but I intend to go back north. Believe it or not, I'll take a Canadian winter and a Canadian summer over an Australian winter and Australian summer.

Now if you'll excuse me I have to dress up as a Mountie and sing Oh Canada in front of the flag.

I was just talking to a friend in Melbourne last night about this. I can see how the Australian seasons wouldn't be all that appealing, and if I did move away from Pennsylvania I know that I eventually I would move right back...I did it once before.

I guess what I really want is to be able to look out my window in peace. Instead of saying "Oh crap, how am I going to get for work?" I want to be able to look out over Pennsylvania's beautiful, snow covered mountains and say, "That's pretty."

Let's just say the Mustang is just about buried right now. Maybe in an hour or so it'll be completely buried.

I may snap a pic later, but trust me, I have no plans of trying to drive anywhere.

me and my bro walked just up the street to the hill to attempt sledding. You can barely walk out there...

EDIT: sorry, forgot my bro cleared off most of the mustang. Ill get pics of other stuff though

I got stuck in a snow drift on my way to work this morning. In my own driveway. It was much deeper than it looked. Had to climb out the passenger side.

Dress warmly, and if the power goes out and you worry about the food in your fridge going bad, just toss them in the snow in your backyard and they'll be fine.

    wow, looks like fun.

Yeah, we got a bunch of snow here in Ohio. After shoveling the snow off the driveway three times (twice yesterday, and once today), here's what I have to say about the Winter Solstice:

    Screw winter.
