Very nice, though the title is misleading since it's not a SNES controller but a Super Famicon controller.

Yeah, I saw those but I didn't like the fact that they weren't wireless.

If I had the time I would do something like this:

    http://www.ppl-pilot.com/

Close enough, they are the same machine, different regions.

Oh... I forgot about the more colorful buttons.

(@ custom wireless retro controllers) Swanky!

The retro controller I really want for the Wii is an N64 controller, so that I can play Sin & Punishment and the two 64-bit Zelda games properly.

that's pretty cool. too bad of all the consoles it's the one that probably needs it's own controller the least though, considering the classic controller is about 90% the same as a snes controller as it is. i'd second the n64 controller idea though, some of its games do tend to be a little wonky using that right c-stick instead of the c buttons.

What makes it even more amusing is that us folks in PAL land had Japanese style cases and pads with SNES written all over them.

That's awesome. I'd love to have that just for Super Metroid.

Kotaku calls it a SNES controller, too.
Can no one tell the truth about this device?
    No one?

What scares me is that if this device takes off and there is a Mega Drive controller, people might call it a Genesis controller.

    What will we do then?

BTW, there is a difference between the (US) SNES and SFC gamepads other than the colors. The SFC controller didn't have any concave-topped buttons like SNES controller did.
