I'm betting it's MECH's doing as well, something about the transformation seems a bit off for it to be the real Optimus.
I would be intrigued to see if it turned out to be a Shattered Glass type affair but all the evidence; MECH scanning Optimus, capturing and studying Breakdown and now building their own Transformers, says otherwise. Ya never know though!

 

If I were to guess this is Nemesis Prime, with the colors being Shattered Glass based to (finally) set him apart from Scourge.

 

I do so love this show.

Oh wow that looks great, though I hope that it's not Nemesis Prime/Scourge or even a MECH clone, that just seems too unoriginal to me, i'm hoping that it's something like the hate plague or Prime being brainwashed

 

Looking back, my guess is that Mechhas finally built a sort-of transformer. It'll likely be defeated/destroyed by the end of the episode.

Of course, it would be REALLY awesome if it later got infused with Dark Energon and came to life as Nemesis.

 

Now that would be a excellent idea for season 3. ^

Starscream DOES have a chunk of Dark Energon still.

 

And Hasbro just found a use for the FE Prime mold.

Most of the time when a mold is never widely released, we see it as a repaint somewhere down the road. I can see them repainting/releasing it as Nemesis Prime.

 

I'm hoping he goes rogue at the end of the episode and joins up with Starscream, rather than simply killing him off etc.

 

It's obviously an evil Prime clone.

The voice almost sounds fake and recorded.

 

True...but between the eyes, the voice and the cannons, he's still awesome!!
