I just got Snarlag yesterday, and accidentally found out how to transform his torso correctly.

First, flip the red painted piece that tabs onto his crotch infront of the upper grey piece.

Then, allign the grey piece to fit inside the torso. The cut out part was not only for the dino legs.

This should securely fit together with the red peice in the torso.

The finished product is a much nicer, more compact torso, with everything inplace, and no dino head gut.

If only your pictures were in focus, I could see what you're talking about.

Also, you're a little late to the party. This is in the feedback thread, and was when I needed it a couple of months ago. But it's good that you're trying to help people. :)

    Old news
Peaugh brought up this corrected transformation
when he reviewed it months ago.
It allows the head to sit closer to the main body than hasbro's instructions list.
    Hasbro often leaves something out.
Turning blurr's wheels around for more recent example.
Mpst of us have been transforming snarl like this for a while.
Now we just need a fix for hip problem.
Oh, and next time preview your photos before you post them.
Out of focus shots are pretty useless.
    Enjoy your snarl.

No worries. Better to have someone trying to help than someone just making snide comments all the time.
*is struck by lightning for hypocrisy*
Ahem. It's pretty annoying that the instructions with Snarl don't detail how to transform him properly. On the rare occasion I need a figure's instructions, it would be nice if they were useful.

Actually, I was wondering about this, so thanks! The pics are pretty useless, but I'm sure I will figure it out.

    So..thanks!

It's always easy to say it has been said before, but you can't expect everyone to constantly check the internet for every new post or video that shows these kinda things..it's ok to tell the original poster it has been discussed before and add a link to the specific thread/post, but let's not all try to be a dick about this...

Hmmm...I was just looking for pics of Snarls correct transformation too!!

Peaugh's pics are no longer there, and these helped to confirm that I had it right.

    Thanks :thumb

    *sigh*..

Yes, we know he is Snarl. It's just that in G1, the triceratops was called Slag, and Snarl was the stegosaur.

For the Animated toyline, they named Slag 'Snarl', presumably because Slag is a british slangword, and that won't help sales (or something like that).

So far, 6 picks added for this thread. 5 of them totally blurry and not helpful :(

Pro-tip: Use the little screen to tell if the camera is focused correctly or not. Adjust until it is!

If this thread somehow manages to not have any clear pics show up by the time I get home from work, I'll try adding some.

Regarding the focus issue: it helps if your camera has a macro mode. This mode is specifically for photographing things that are small and are close to the lens. before I got my current camera, my photos all looked like this too.

Regarding the light issue: you will want to make a light box / light tent. This lets you turn the flash off entirely.

I actually transformed him the 'correct' way the very first time (I never use instructions unless I'm afraid of breaking something), before reading about it on the boards. Gotta love happy accidents. :)
