But he already had that moment two weeks ago, and he did better than stating the obvious, he jumped in front of a death blow, and phased himself and Optimus through it.

 

You know guys someone recalled Nolan North being in S3 so it's likely that Smokescreen will live on.

Alpha Trion has been concealing his identity as a member of the 13 for a loooong time now.

I think maybe at some point, Smokescreen was an actual soldier. I think he guarded the Hall of Records, as he claims. However, when he "blacked out" I think it may be possible the true Smokescreen may have died. Alpha Trion then gave the Relic Destiny's Child (Hot Rod/Rodimus whatever) Smokescreen's memories and appearance to conceal his identity and protect him. I mean, it really looks like the writers are setting up Smokescreen to be the next Prime, however, Smokescreen doesn't really make sense in the position. (It's been Rodimus in other continuities, so I find it a bit odd. Yes, it's a bit G1, I know.) I think it would be difficult to introduce someone else as Optimus's successor. Optimus has always been Sentinel's, and Rodimus has always been his.

How do we know he isn't getting his own mold?

 

Was it said for certain that an Autobot would die this season or is that just a rumor? I only recall it ever being said that a main character would die before the middle of it, and that turned out to be Breakdown.

 

Well, Shroud Prime sounds like a good name for him.

As for how and what's going to happen, I imagine it will be huge and spectacular but I'll be left wondering exactly how lax the dope laws are in the writer's area.

 

Did that someone work on the show or is it just someone claiming to have insider knowledge? Because if it's the latter, I'm skeptical. I don't recall seeing anything that confirmed that Nolan North would be in season 3.

I don't know; I see tremendous potential to watch the "growth" of a young soldier in the Autobot cause.

At first I thought we'd see that with Bee, but actually Bee is well established.


For the record I don't want to see Screen perish. He has a purpose and as a nod to the "red shirt" reference, maybe he'll be their Data or Wesley Crusher.
