It happens sometimes, occasionally you'll like a smaller, cheaper figure more than their larger counterparts. Maybe the larger one has an obtrusive gimmick, or a completely different design, or maybe you prefer the scale, but sometimes I really genuinely like smaller figures more. Examples: Legends RotF Ravage vs. Deluxe: The Legends figure has a better transformation (which says... absolutely nothing, but still) and I like its proportions and colors a lot better. Plus, its size is a lot more Ravage-y, to me. In the same vein... Legends RotF Soundwave vs. Deluxe: The Deluxe was... a mess. His chest didn't peg right, his proportions were laughable, and he didn't transform into anything. Twice. The Legends one has better proportions, good articulation for a Legends, and a MUCH better satellite mode. DotM Cyberverse Blackout vs. Movie 1 Voyager: May be unfair, since it's got four years of engineering and a Scorponok Targetmaster on its side, but the Transformation is a lot better and losing the terrible gimmick means that he's no longer AS freakishly undersized for the size class, more posable (since he doesn't have half a helicopter hanging off his back) and has a non-retarded weapon.
