There's some 5yr old kids that are always riding bikes in the street around my house. Cars are always slowing down to avoid them.

Their parents live just across the street. (see title)

Call a social worker on that trash, they're driving down your property values.

    And water your grass.

I don't understand who you're mad at. The parents for letting their kids play? The kids for playing? The drivers for not running them over?

I think he's mad at the fact that the kids are riding bikes IN the street (not on the sidewalk) in the direct path of a vehicle.

It's just something you always have to be aware of when you're driving through a residential area. Kids on bikes is nothing new. Watch out for them.

It's not running them over that bothers me, it's the creepy vans.

Missing children list keeps growing :(

Sounds like you need to buy a broom so you can brandish a weapon when you tell them to get off your lawn.

You can seriously tell me you never played in the street outside your house when you were a kid? Bikes? Street hockey? Anything?

I didn't because my parents had the good sense to tell me not to play in traffic (or where there would be traffic). What irks me most is when parents actually ENCOURAGE that behavior. One of my parents' neighbors actually told his kid to play on the court we live on "because it's safe". It's not if some asshole in a beetle (me) comes whipping around the corner and flattens his ass. Ugh.

Then maybe you shouldn't be whipping your beetle around a residential area, especially on your own street.

I hate the skaters that have designated places to go skate at, but no, they have to skate in the walmart parking lot and such.

Last summer and probably this one too, we had kids breaking the street light for fun every week

Just run out, stand in front of your house, and start yelling incoherent gibberish at them.

Gas company, salesmen, mail man, people walking their dog that decides to take a shit on your lawn and they don't even pick it up, oh yeah, scares them all off.

Times has changed though. Not everywhere you can do that anymore. Some places maybe. I remember growing up and playing in the street too. Until.....we started seeing a$$holes fly up the road without any regard to how fast they were actually going.

Its often to hear "hey I found a new gap at Walmart" and you just have to go and try it out.

Where I work we don't allow teens to skate on the property with their boards. My company is afraid one might fall off his skateboard and suffer an injury where his parents might file a lawsuit.
