Here is a pretty straightforward G1 articulation and repaint project that I knocked out in about a day. I picked up a junker Slugslinger a while back, as I always really liked his design and wanted to update him. The only thing I didn't like about him was his teal color, so as you can see I changed it to a little deeper blue. I used some Alt Skids arms and legs to add articulation, and repainted Vector Prime's mini-con so he would have a cool Targetmaster partner. (In my mind all of the "master" figures are robots not Nebulans, I always thought that was odd!) He is still a robot with a jet on his back, but I think he will make a good addition to my classics shelf. Enjoy!
Another homerun man. I'm using my phone and can't tell, how is he holding Caliburst? Did you add a handle/peg or is grasping the wings of Caliburst?
very very cool, I have been waiting to see if anybody was going to start making some taget and head masters
ditto. Yeah that kicks major ass. Always love when G1 stuff gets a good update, but Target and head masters are my fav's. Can't wait to see what's next.
wow. You'd never guess it was the original toy between the added articulation and the detailed paint job.
In the rebirth trilogy, Optimus referred to the larger robots as the masters. I think it was on the toy boxes as well. Very nice update to Slugslinger.
That's great. Way better than the Slugslinger we got in Energon. Kudos, man... you make it look so easy! zmog
That articulation makes a world of difference, you made a fun, unique mold even more fun and functional! I agree, I've always been more a fan of the Japanese Headmasters' take on them.
