Here I present you a wip for my stop motion project "Boba´s way"- A stop motion which (when completed) explains how young Boba Fett became the proud owner of a Slave1 spaceship.
It´s a 1982 which had some parts lost and I got it off eBay...

very nice. One critique though: I don't think you went over board on weathering, but I do think the colors of the ship are too muted. You can barely tell that the base and the cockpit/"handle" part with the main cannons (i don't know what else to call it, slave 1 always looked like an iron to me) are different colors at all.

However, that may have been what you were going for. Just kind of seems like without its specific coloring, it could be any Firespray class ship, not necessarily the Slave-1. Don't get me wrong though, i still think it looks great.

I really like the weathering. It looks like a real scrapyard treasure. Since he states the story is about how Boba got his own Slave-1, I'm guessing the original has been destroyed and he found this beater and rebuilt it just like his dad's except with the new color scheme to reflect his armor.
Excellent trivia knowledge on it being a Firespray class ship, btw.
The one thing that I'd like to see is a movie accurate under-carriage / thruster area. If you're going to be shooting it, it should look screen-ready.

but... but... the mandalorian symbol is already on it

I agree about the under-carriage. The handle kinda kills the illusion. Forgot to say I love the added wiring.

that looks awesome. i cant wait to see the stop motion you're working on.

a tip: with the blue and red buttons, take a fine brush, using a black or dark brown, and paint around the bases of the buttons. it will make them pop a lot more and also help clean them up.

Thanks. Yes, it´s a flying iron ,hehehehe...
The colors are less than it looks though. In reality it looks better, but my cam is a cheap one....

Right. The original was destroyed in the clone wars.
And the underside of the "iron" will be black...

    I will. Thanks.

I LOVE the detail work you did on this, great simple but highly effective work, which with your beautiful paint work really make this thing look like a real space craft, I'd never have guessed it was a soft-sculpted 80's toy :)

Hey, goddess of airbrush  , no, it took about 5 minutes do disassemble, 10 to get rid of the dust...
Painting took about 1 hour (spry, let dry, paint, let dry...,you name it.

The paint was sprayed on a pure white, (a fluid plastic) matte spray.[IMG]
Then covered slightly in brown etc.
I wish I had the other two ships (Jango Fett´s Slave and Clone wars)

    THX bro!
