Anyone here Skype at all? I know we've had these threads before but the last one seems to be lost somewhere deep in the internet jungle. I be llamatron_burger and if you're nice I might have a bit of a chat with you and call you a dickfish.
I don't, but my friend in Japan uses it to call me. I had trouble answering the phone for a while after I saw "The Ring," 'cause the number would always be something creepy like 000-000-0000 or 1234567890. EDIT: How do you use it anyways? You have to have a headset for your computer, right?
All you need is a microphone for your compy. It's best to use earphones as well, because you'll get nasty feedback if you use speakers. Otherwise that's it. It's free to talk to people online, but costs to phone actual home phones etc.
I have it but no one on my list is ever on. We all downloaded it for this awesome project that never happened so seeing it on my desktop is like this constant reminder of what could have been awesome.
According to this link, they're going to be expanding the service quite a bit, including being able to use it with the slightly re-designed PSP. I might have to look into it. -Tony!
Oh yeah, THAT project... always was bummed that it fell through. I've still got Skype but I rarely see anyone on, I've got a radio show I co-host saturdays that I use it for.
