BBC News - New James Bond film staring Daniel Craig is announced

Some very welcome news. :D  I thoroughly enjoyed Casino Royale, and I seemed to be in a minority by thinking Quantum of Solace was just as good. Looking forward to this. :)

I saw this on Drudge. It's about damned time. Batman 3, Star Trek 12, and Bond 23 in the same year now.

oh, there was an article probably a year after the last movie came out where Craig said bond should be "modernized" and be seducing guys and so on and so forth..

I suppose Bi would have been more correct:lol

I will see if any links still survive and repost here later.

well I guess that didn't take me too long

Michael G. Wilson and Barbara Broccoli of EON Productions, together with Gary Barber and Roger Birnbaum, Co-Chairmen and Chief Executive Officers of Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Inc., today announced that the 23rd James Bond film will commence production in late 2011 for a worldwide release on November 9, 2012. The UK and Ireland will be getting the movie two weeks earlier, on October 26.

Daniel Craig will be returning as the legendary British secret agent, with Sam Mendes directing a screenplay written by Neal Purvis, Robert Wade and John Logan.

The film will be produced by Michael G. Wilson and Barbara Broccoli.

More Bond, great! More Craig, better!

I wouldn't mind a bit of man on man action. Bond's a pretty adventurous guy, he must be sick of being betrayed by women by now. ;)

Wish I could get excited about it, but I thought Quantum of Solace was terrible. The opening scene made me sick. There's nothing wrong with having your shots last longer than half a second...

If I had my way, they'd reboot the series and make it fun again.

I agree that Quantum Theory was terrible, frankly I forget it exists because then the ending of Casino Royale is much cooler in my opinion being just left open.

I also do hope that this isn't following up on QT, but a new adventure altogether. The stand-alone Bond films like "Tomorow Never Dies" and "Goldfinger" are the better ones in my opinion.

EDIT: Oh, and of course Goldeneye! Can't believe I forgot that one, it's one of my favorites.

I'll stick with Roger Moore thank you! He was, is and always will be my favorite Bond. He had the best lines, best chicks, and best toy's. :)
